  • Set an alarm to go to bed and to get up
  • Consistent bedtime and wake time
  • Use white noise/noise machine/rain sounds
  • Cooler bedroom at night
  • Dark Bedroom 
  • Don't fall asleep to the t.v. 
  • Bath or shower before bed to decrease body temp
  • Quiet bedtime ritual - PJ's, reading, coloring. 
  • Low lights - no screens 1 h before bed
  • Avoid alcohol, sedatives 
  • Decrease caffeine. Last use 14 h before you want to go to sleep 
  • Bright lights in the morning and during the day
  • Exercise  30 min in morning not late at night 
  • Be awake when the sun is up
