Sleep Hygiene - Restful Sleep is the secret to life
- Set an alarm to go to bed and to get up
- Consistent bedtime and wake time
- Use white noise/noise machine/rain sounds
- Cooler bedroom at night
- Dark Bedroom
- Don't fall asleep to the t.v.
- Bath or shower before bed to decrease body temp
- Quiet bedtime ritual - PJ's, reading, coloring.
- Low lights - no screens 1 h before bed
- Avoid alcohol, sedatives
- Decrease caffeine. Last use 14 h before you want to go to sleep
- Bright lights in the morning and during the day
- Exercise 30 min in morning not late at night
- Be awake when the sun is up
